Dr. Hossam Allam is a senior sustainability expert with more than 33 years of international, regional, and national experience in sustainable development. His work focuses on integrating economic, social, and environmental dimensions into practical strategies and projects that enhance quality of life, create green jobs, and promote sustainable investment in natural resources.
He spent 31 years at the Center for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE), an international diplomatic organization established by the Ministers of Environment of the League of Arab States. As Programme Director and International Expert of the Sustainable Growth Programme, he led national and regional initiatives across resource efficiency, solid and e-waste management, green and circular economy, sustainable transport, tourism, energy, and ICT for sustainability.
Dr. Allam has extensive experience managing complex international projects and providing technical assistance to governments, international organizations, and civil society institutions to strengthen institutional capacity and drive sustainable transformation.
He holds a Ph.D. from Plymouth University (UK), an MSc from the University of New Haven (USA), and a BSc in Engineering from Ain Shams University (Egypt).
